The Red River Watercolor Society (RRWS) serves the watermedia artists in the Red River Valley Area of Minnesota, South and North Dakota. The volunteer organization serves to promote the interest, display and education in Watercolor and other water-based media in this region and nationally through their flagship National Juried Exhibition.
RRWS is a vibrant and enthusiastic group of artists who express themselves through watercolor and acrylic paintings.
The Society was founded in 1989 with a charter membership of 13 and has grown to over 180 artists. The Society's mission is to promote education, achievement and inspiration within the Society. RRWS has expanded its vision to encompass projects that encourage new artists and invite more community participation. The Society offers a variety of programs and opportunities that address many aspects of the art profession including business and marketing, exhibition, artist growth and enhancement of art experiences in the community. This year we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary with many more new and exiciting opportunities for artists of all abilities. Check out our news and Calendar pages for more information.
