Call for Entries: First Biannual “Time to Shine” Member Art Show

Entry is open for the First Biannual “Time to Shine” Member Art Show, presented in partnership with Moorhead State University of Minnesota in the Diederich Art Gallery. The exhibition will run from August 20 through September 17, and we invite members to share their artwork with our community.

Opening Reception

The exhibition opens on August 20 with a reception from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

We are also thrilled to feature the entries and winners of the 33rd Annual Juried Watermedia Online Exhibition during the same event — two wonderful exhibitions in one gallery! We look forward to bringing together artists, members, and the local art community to celebrate so much creativity and talent.  We hope you will join us for this special event and exhibition opportunity.

Awards

A $100 People’s Choice Award will be announced at the close of the exhibition. The winning artwork will also be featured on the publicity poster for the 2028 “Time to Shine” member exhibition at MSUM.

Exhibition Guidelines

Please review the following entry requirements:

  • Open to any 2D artwork with a maximum size of 24” x 35”
  • Any framing style is welcome, but all artwork must be wired for hanging. Paintings with sawtooth or card hangers will not be accepted.
  • Maximum of 3 entries per artist
  • Artists must be members of the Red River Artist Network and Watercolor Society
  • Entry fee is $10 per artwork

Payment may be made by cash or check at the time of delivery. If you would like to pay by credit card, please contact us before drop-off, as volunteers will not be able to process credit card payments on-site.  A Venmo payment option will be available.

Artwork may be offered for sale. A 20% commission payable to Red River Artist Network will support prizes and future exhibitions.

Artwork Delivery

All artwork must be delivered in person. We are unable to accept shipped artwork.  Printout the tickets for attachment to the back of the artwork

Drop-Off Times and location

Diederich Art Gallery, Roland Dille Center for the Arts at MSUM

  • Friday, August 14 from 3PM –7 PM
  • Saturday, August 15 from 11AM to 4PM

If you need to make a different arrangement, please contact Anita Burbeck – her information is below.  There may even be cookies available during the dropoff times, so come chat with our volunteers and enjoy seeing the other artwork being entered!

Unsold Artwork Pickup

Pickup will take place at the Diederich Art Gallery on September 18 from 3-7PM and September 19 from 11-4PM. 

Artwork not collected during the scheduled pickup times will be stored in President Anne’s garage. While every effort will be made to handle artwork carefully, we cannot be responsible for damage after the official pickup period, so timely pickup is greatly appreciated.

Entry Form

Please download and complete the entry form and art labels attached to the back of your artwork before arriving for drop-off. Having forms ready in advance will help make the process simple and streamlined for everyone
